The Yip

Danielle Anderson, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Danielle Anderson is a senior majoring in communication studies, with a double minor in journalism and marketing. Originally from Ewing, NE, she chose to come to NWU because she wanted professors to know her name with small class sizes, and the short walk across campus was a bonus. Anderson joined The Yip to gain more experience in journalism after having written for The Norfolk Daily News in high school. Originally just a reporter her first year, she moved up the ladder and became Co-Editor-in-Chief at the end of her sophomore year, meaning she's busy helping run the show and assisting the staff members. She will be graduation in May of this year, and she hopes to attend graduate school later down the road, but currently is just looking for a job in PR or marketing and is excited to finally be recognized as an adult.

Fun Fact about Danielle: Her favorite Pokémon is a Togepi, and she recently just caught one during the break.

A Senior's Advice: Remember that college is about taking risks and being uncomfortable. Take that class that you have no experience in; go to that place you've always wanted to travel to; try that thing you've always wanted to try. Don't be afraid of the 'what-if' or 'I can't' of the world. Take the initiative and charge ahead because something worthwhile can bloom from discomfort.
